Product Description
Transcending several genres--mainstream fiction, speculation, and spirituality--CURRENTS-Every Life Leaves an Imprint is best described as inspirational and thought provoking. CURRENTS is about the beauty of life, about beginnings, about hope . . . and delivers a message many need to hear.

Michael Sharpe is an angel. Earthbound for thousands of years, he and others like him live side-by-side with humans. They are our stewards--guardians who help us through life. Michael, however, has grown weary of the ways of the world, of the senseless and tragic turns he sees all too often. Michael is seeking more for himself and for humankind. He questions his purpose, the purpose of others like him, and his and their ability to make a difference.

David Kirby is in his mid-thirties, married, with two young children. Recently, his 62-year old father died unexpectedly--leaving David's mother with an uncertain future and David with a gaping hole in his life as well as a lot of questions about meaning, purpose and reasons to go on.

Needing time away in isolation from the rigors of daily life, David sets off alone for the family's wilderness retreat along a remote river in northern Maine, familiar stomping grounds and a place full of cherished memories. At the same time, Michael and three colleagues--Todd, Galen, Sarah--make their annual pilgrimage to the very same spot to talk, to regroup, to revitalize themselves, and to share experiences--good and bad--from the preceding year.

Unbeknownst to David or the others, they are all journeying to the same place--in body, mind and spirit.

Following a dream-like visit from his departed father, wherein David's eyes are opened to a greater definition of life than he previously understood, David and Michael come face to face. Together, they begin an exploration of whether there is hope and a reason for humans and angels to go on.
