Penny McConnell At eight years old, Penny made her first batch of cookies. By the time she was 14 years old, she knew she wanted to be a baker when she grew up. And except for her minor detour to go to college and the 10-year stint as an advertising copywriter, Penny has spent her life making cookies, teaching cookie classes, writing about cookies, and passionately building her popular 15-year-old company, Pennys Pastries. Currently, she continues her cookie crusade through creating new cookie concepts, public speaking, and teaching. Cookie Stories is her first book. Kathy Sutton Since the first whiff of Snickerdoodles baking in her moms oven, Kathy has been a lover of fresh-baked cookies.
