Product Description
The Sixth Surface; Steven Holl Lights The Nelson-Atkins Museum is a collaboration among artists, essayists and poets to make a book that reflects the collaboration among architects, engineers and builders that made a building. Not your typical architecture book, we interpret the Bloch Building (and the artworks within) in works of imagination that are visual, discursive and poetic.
The Sixth Surface is named for the innermost face of the innermost pane of glass that comprises the wall assembly for the Bloch Building (the sixth glass surface counting from the outside in).
