Growing guides for vegies, herbs and flowers Aracaria Guides has just released a new set of four growing guides for vegetables, herbs and medicinal plants, flowers and flowering bulbs. Each guide folds out into an illustrated, laminated chart and contains essential information in a user-friendly format covering all climate zones. Because they are laminated and compact (A4), they are great for taking into the garden. The vegie guide is especially timely with a resurgence in organic food growing. Although aimed at the novice gardener, experienced gardeners will still find it very handy. It includes moon and companion planting notes, plus information on soil and compost making. The vegie guide covers 68 vegetables, including germination times, plant and row distances and time to harvest. Of the other guides, there are 72 flowers, 72 herbs and medicinal plants, and 57 bulbs covered. The guides make a welcome addition to Aracaria s already popular series which includes the Moon Planting Guide, Botanical Field Guide and Biodymanic Growing Guide.
