About the Author

R. Scott Bolton's writing career got off to a solid start thanks to Mrs. Molitz, his fifth grade teacher, who encouraged his continuing series of Godzilla stories. Since then, Bolton has written film reviews for the Ventura Today and Oxnard Press-Courier newspapers; music reviews for the Ventura County Reporter, short stories, screenplays and novels. In addition, he is the editor/publisher of Rough Edge, an on-line hard rock/heavy metal magazine (located on the web at www.roughedge.com) and is the voice of Video Verdicts, a weekly radio insert. Bolton is also a main contributor for the annual Ballantine Books publication, "Video Movie Guide," edited by Mick Martin & Marsha Porter. R. In the grand detective tradition of Mike Hammer, but with a science fiction twist, R. Scott Bolton's KILLED BY DEATH could very well be the guilty pleasure of the summer. Man of Action H.B. Fist is an instant favorite as he battles evil villians bent on galactic domination.

If I could have an HB Fist novel every summer, I could enjoy my vacation in literary bliss!
