5.0 out of 5 stars Deftly evokes a misty memory of emotional richness, September 21, 2003
By Midwest Book Review (Oregon, WI USA) - See all my reviews
Spaces In Between is a haunting collection of poetry by Gil Saenz, a renaissance man of the Information Age, who has served his government as a computer specialist, a personnel specialist of the United States Air Force, and a US Diplomatic Courier in the Foreign Service, among his other achievements. Circulating about the themes of love, nature, beauty, and the spiritual, the poetry comprising Spaces In Between deftly evokes a misty memory of emotional richness beyond measure. Love Fantasy: We had been building castles in the air,/Dreaming a bridge of dreams,/Where we could cross over and enjoy a journey/Of unreality and happy adventures together./Time had stood still for us/While we lived the dreamy highlife,/Tripping the light fantastic through yesterdays,/Todays, tomorrows as we felt the bliss/And other good feelings of our love fantasy.
