Mass With Mary is a candid depiction of what began on February 6th, 1998 when Mary Kay Letourneau arrived at the Washington Corrections Center for Women in Gig Harbor. Written by three inmates, convicted of three entirely different crimes, comes the actual account of what happened in prison to the teacher sentenced to 7 years for having an intimate relationship (and two children) with her student.

This book was written from behind the prison walls and the pages were smuggled out through the visiting room, outgoing mail and any other way possible when necessary.

About the Author

Christina Dress is currently enjoying her freedom in Ellensburg, Washington. Family and friends are her priority and she loves being "Auntie" to her nieces and nephews. She has always had a passion for writing and her style is unique and refreshing. She speaks directly to the reader and her humor makes reading a pleasure. This is her "maiden voyage" into the world of publishing.

I had a long plane ride and never even knew we'd landed...this book had me so wrapped up! The prison stuff alone was interesting, then add Letourneau to the equation and I could hardly believe what I was reading! I just kept thinking 'if people only knew'...this book was outstanding. Five stars all the way!

This book is uncensored and tells the real story...from PRISON! I had no idea it would be so good. I'll bet prison officials are having a heart attack. Good insight, great humor and an excellent book.

I'd read the book just three days ago and then tonight I saw Christina Dress on Anderson Cooper's show (CNN). GREAT WOMAN!
I loved the book anyway, but seeing her talk and the the way she carries herself was really impressive. Cooper tried to fluster her but her fell short. He tried to down talk to her, but he couldn't. In fact, Copper was stumbling on HIS words! He was no match for this ex-con turned author and I thought it was great. NICE JOB!!! GREAT BOOK!!! I give Mass With Mary FIVE STARS and the author gets SIX!
