Product Description
Jenny and Mike grew up together in the same neighborhood. When Jenny’s parents let her spend an un-chaperoned weekend with some friends, including Mike, Jenny makes other plans. She secretly chats online with a boy who calls himself Ryan McCoy, and he asks her to come meet him in person. She is excited; Ryan sounds so cool and handsome. The chaos begins when Jenny doesn’t return home as promised and her cell phone doesn’t work. Robin, another teen, chats with a man online who is very aggressive toward earning her friendship. No matter how many times she tells him to leave her alone, she cannot shake him. Finally, Robin turns to her dad, the police chief, for help. As more young women’s lives are affected, the police work harder to find the answers. Are the kidnappings linked? Can the police find the mystery person in time, as the girls’ parents fear the worst?

5.0 out of 5 stars Virtual Law - A must for everyone to read, July 13, 2005
This book had me hooked from the start. Once I started reading, I just couldn't put it down. It is so well written, I felt like I personally knew the characters. I think this book should be read by all young women as well as their families.

4.0 out of 5 stars "Virtual Law" Makes a Very "Real" Point, June 20, 2005
"Virtual Law" was a pleasant surprise. There are many books and stories warning of the dangers to the unsuspecting from internet stalkers. This small gem, however, approaches the topic from a fresh and intriguing perspective. The story hooked me in the first chapter, and kept me interested clear through to the end. The characters are well-drawn and believable; they could well be your next-door neighbor or your own family.
"Virtual Law" should be required reading for all middle school girls as well as their parents and teachers.

4.0 out of 5 stars Young-Adults Guide to The E-Galaxy, June 25, 2006
By Anna M. Nordling (Coon Rapids, Minnesota) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I liked the book, but found it hard to get over my hate for stupid people. Although I do know that many young girls are ignorant about internet preditors, or refuse to believe that it could happen to them, I found myself being angry at the girls for being so stupid. So I guess it would be a real eye opener for young adults who live for the e-world. All in all, a great book. ^^
