He's stolen a laptop full of sensitive files from the Tribe leader, Justinian, and needs help cracking the encryption. At first he wants sexy and intelligent Eden only for her computer wizardry -- but soon he wants her for much, much more.

Working by night and growing closer every day, Laurent and Eden struggle with the passion that threatens to overwhelm them. But when Justinian captures Eden, and Laurent proves his loyalty to his Tribe in the most shocking of ways, Eden vows to kill Laurent for his deception. Can he find a way to prove his love for her before a full-on war breaks out between vampires and humans?

4.0 out of 5 stars Master of Darkness, January 31, 2006
A case of mistaken identity brings a vampire and a vampire hunter together in this latest thriller. Laurent is on the run, and no one is more surprised than the vampire when he is rescued by a reluctant vampire hunter, Eden Faveau. Not realizing that he's a renegade Tribe vampire rather than a member of the Wolf Clan with whom humans have an alliance of sorts, she thinks that Laurent is supposed to be her partner, Sid Wolf. He decides not to correct her and agrees to work with her. He has little love for Justinian, and Eden could help him bring the Tribe leader down. Neither one expects the passion that will overwhelm them, or that Laurent is on the verge of discovering something he has sought for almost his entire existence. Yet, can a relationship based on a lie and built in the middle of danger survive? For that matter, when Justinian catches them, can they?

**** This compelling novel will hook you right from the first page. Very real, complex characters leap to life and race through the tightly woven plot to a conclusion that will leave you blinking and breathless. This series only gets better. ****

5.0 out of 5 stars Dark Fantasy Romance, March 3, 2006
Laurant has never known who he is or where his place is. Even as an outcast from the Tribe Manticore, one of the most violent vampire tribes,he can't find the violent tendencies in his make-up. All he wants is to find someone to open the files in the lap top he has stolen. Then he intends to go far away and live in peace and abundance.

Eden Faveau is a vampire hunter, she is now looking for the people who are selling a new drug, Dawn, to vampires. It allows them to live in the sunshine, but the side effects seem to make them more violent. Her family has always hunted vampires.

Eden mistakes Laurant for her contact with the Wolf Clan Vampires. They try to protect humanity from the Tribe Vampires and others who see humanity as prey. Laurant finds out Eden is a computer security agent. He thinks he can get her to help him break into the lap top. Each finds out how wrong they are about each other and before you know it, they are in love. Now they have to face the bad guys and the good guys. Not to mention the other secrets about Laurant that will change his life forever.

I really liked this book. There was much more story and you really learn to care for these people. I hope you will try it. IT is much better than the last two books in this series.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love Suzanne Sizmore's vampire world!, April 9, 2006
When Eden Faveau is asked to give up her vacation to hunt Tribe vampires, she is not happy. With her male relatives out of town, she is called in to work with Clan vampire Sid Wolf. Her task is to find the source for the dangerous new vampire drug, Dawn.

With a bounty on his head placed by Justinian, Tribe Manticore's pack leader, perhaps Laurent's return to San Diego was poor judgment. In fact, Laurent is being stalked by Manticore vampires when he encounters the lovely Eden. But Eden mistakes him for Clan vampire, Sid Wolf and Laurent lets the misconception continue. While Eden thinks they are working to uncover the source of Dawn, Laurent is using Eden for his own agenda. Laurent hadn't planned on falling in love with the beautiful mortal. But with Eden's life in danger, Laurent discovers that Eden means more to him than a means to an end. His heart is involved.

I love Susan Sizemore's vampires. Testosterone filled Alpha Primes finding their bondmates and the intriguing world of the matriarchal clans. Master of Desire doesn't have all of these elements as Laurent is not a member of the clans. And at first, I was disappointed. I LOVE reading about the clans! But then I found myself immersed in Laurent and Eden's story. Their inner struggles and the war that they must win against the evil Justinian kept me satisfied and reading til the end. Master of Desire gives a refreshing look at the vampire world of Susan Sizemore and I will be back for more!
