5.0 out of 5 stars A Life changer, not a quick fix, January 1, 2007
By L. Richardson (Marietta, OH) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I've read most or all of her books. What makes this special is that she's just like all of us and has found the key to a better life. I've been "flying" for almost a year. I fight routine, being told what to do, etc. You are not required to do anything except look at what you want and learning to get it that you must make some decisions for yourself, no one else. It is priceless. This is a gentle, loving method to a better life; it's not about getting skinny. It's about finding peace with yourself, your life, and who you are, as well as, no matter what your situation (handicapped, well-educated, poor, rich, beautiful) how to love yourself. Not an easy task for many of us. Best of all, you don't have to go anywhere, pay anyone, buy anything to be a "flybaby". (The book is probably in your local library!) Read it and make what you want of it. It's your life.

5.0 out of 5 stars An author that has changed and improved my life, January 1, 2007
By P. Manoogian "Flybaby" (Lansdale, PA USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I've read both Sink Reflections and Body Clutter, and I am a member on the FlyLady website - and I testify this author has helped me. Every day I've dealt with many things that get to me - I don't think a woman can get to middle age and not have a load of body clutter and mind clutter, and bits of perfectionism that lead us to be very unhappy. But every day I now find bright spots. I'm far less critical of myself, my family or work or situations that in past would keep me up all night. I find it easier now to be happy with myself and my life, and I can see myself being happy in the future, so I don't feel this is short term happiness. I thank both authors for improving my life, and the lives of my family!
Please buy this book, take your time reading and thinking on it, and join the Flylady website. :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Give it a Try!, January 2, 2007
By Improv Mom (Wheaton, IL) - See all my reviews
If you tried everything, and nothing works, try this. If you know all the "right stuff" to do to lose weight (what to eat, how to exercise, etc.) but can't seem to do it, try this. If you're overwhelmed and don't know where to begin, try this. If you look in the mirror, or stand in front of your closet and cry with unhappiness, it's time to change. Get to the root of the problem and deal with the issue, not the consequence. Your weight issues are only the symptoms, not the "real" problem. I love the Zig Ziglar term "stinkin' thinkin'." This book will help you discover what your stinkin' thinkin' is, how you got it, and how to change it. When you change your thinking, you will change your WHOLE self...it will come, I promise! Learn how to "FLY" - Finally loving yourself. Check out the Flylady website while you're at it. She's amazing!
