The Diva Wants It All!, August 12, 2009
Ritz Harper Goes To Hollywood by Wendy Williams is a knock-out, drag down book that seems to be telling Wendy Williams story from when she first hit the radio scene. Ritz is a cut-throat type of woman who befriends no one. Anybody who stands in her way better beware, her claws are sharp and her tongue is a razor. Spewing venom on WHOT radio station has led Ms. Harper in a number one top spot on air, and now she wants more. Dealing with the everyday grind and backstabbing Ms. Harper has her share of enemies, but when one of her listeners cannot take her trash talking they take matters into their own hands and barrage her body full of bullets.
Basically coming back from the dead did not soften Ritz any, if anything it made her harder to deal with and much more vicious if at all possible. She's cutting side deals, sleeping with one of her employees' boyfriends, and sabotages anyone who gets in her way. While on hiatus from dealing with the death of her daughter she decides she wants a talk show; and she is willing and ready to do whatever to get it. That is until she meets with Chas' people who want to turn her into a runaway slave, degrade her, and practically make her beg, belittle and have sex with all of them. Ritz realizes that she needs to handle this group of men differently and she will walk away with her dignity and pride intact.
Chas' is her producer but feels that she cannot handle TV; she does not have the look, so he tries to help her, but in the interim one of her victims decides he is ready to get even with her. How many lives does this Ritz Harper have you ask, well several because she is put to the test time and time again, and these people are not only trying to assassinate her, but destroy her dreams of tv stardom. What Ritz wants she usually gets so why should this television show be any different, stay tuned and hold onto your seats as you take this wild ride through the eyes of a diva. Ritz Harper goes to Hollywood by Wendy Williams is just like the Queen herself. Robust, full of life and very entertaining. I recommend this book to readers who love the Wendy Williams show.

The Bitch Wasn't Dead, July 13, 2009
In the last book, IS THE BITCH DEAD OR WHAT we learn in this book that the bitch obviously was not dead, well technically we learned that at the end of the previous book. At the beginning of this book Ritz Harper is in the hospital, doing something she never thought she would do...give birth to a beautiful little girl. Unfortunately motherhood does not last long.
After dealing with the loss of her baby and after being off-air for a minute Ritz decides she wants to move her career in a different direction. She wants to do television...to have her own talk show. First she needs to deal with the dealmakers in Hollywood. The question is how bad does she want this and what is she willing to do in order to get herself in the position she wants to be in? Will she compromise her morals and self worth?
Will Ritz finally realize who truly are her friends and who her enemies are? Will Ritz find out who was behind her attempted murder?
I was really looking forward to RITZ HARPER GOES TO HOLLYWOOD by Wendy Williams, unfortunately I was a little disappointed that is lacked the drama of the previous novels of THE RITZ HARPER CHRONICLES. It was fast-paced and I thought it was very good read for the most part. I do recommend if you are going to read this novel you should read the series in order if you have not read the previous books.

Ritz Goes Bust, November 5, 2009
Ritz Harper is a woman on a mission. After recovering from being shot and the death of her baby daughter, Ritz is determined to make it pass the glass ceiling in radio. Ritz is ready to take her radio show to Hollywood. She enlists the help of her producer, Chas, as she goes to Hollywood to pitch the hottest radio show in the country--The Ritz Harper Excursion. What she doesn't know is the trip to Hollywood is a setup for failure planned by Chas. She slowly begins to realize this won't be an easy idea to sell, but once she pitches the idea to the right people and lands a contract, her dream is soon to become reality.
RITZ HARPER GOES TO HOLLYWOOD was an okay read. I expected a bit more drama. It took a while to really get into the book and the story line. Overall, I found it to be a somewhat outlandish, but that is just what the author, Wendy Williams, is known for. Williams allows us to see Ritz Harper's vulnerability, especially with the death of her baby daughter. She also allows us to see the wild and hilarious side of Ritz in this book. I think, most of all, it teaches the reader that if you have a goal in life you want to achieve, don't let anything stop you from achieving it.
