Product Description

In businesses big and small, making decisions comes with the territory. But how do you routinely make decisions that enhance, not diminish, the bottom line?  According to major thought leaders like the authors of Blink, Megatrends and Winning, "intuition" is the answer. But those books are all about the "what" of intuition. In Trust Your Gut and Grow Your Business: How to Listen to Your Inner CEO, business consultant Lynn Robinson gives us the "how" part of accessing this incredibly valuable inner resource to make quicker, stronger, better decisions on a regular basis.

Offering the same strategies that Robinson’s Fortune 500 and small business clients call upon, Trust Your Gut and Grow Your Business teaches those looking to succeed how to make winning decisions about their work, business and life through the following techniques:
-Why enthusiasm is a message from your intuition that can help you nail the sale. (Hint: It’s not as obvious as you think!)
-The five questions to ask your intuition when you’re making a decision.
-The 90-second activity you must do every day to achieve your goals easily and effortlessly.
-How to motivate prospects to take action.
-How to recognize the “power hunches” that will direct you to success and add to your bottom line.

5.0 out of 5 stars Add this one to your must-have book list, November 13, 2006

I think I've read just about every "How to" business book in America. Many of them are good, a few are great, but not one of them gives me the kind of priceless information that this book does.

The author has been a speaker and "intuitive consultant" for about twenty years. She's written several books on how intuition can improve your life. This book is a bit of a departure, because it focuses on how everyone from solo-preneurs to CEOs can profitably use intuition in business.

Notice I said "How." There are some excellent books out there -- "Blink" for example -- that will tell you why intuition can be so helpful. But precious few, if any at all, teach you how to put it to actual use.

At first I was slightly put off by Robinson's non-business-book prose. But I was quickly won over by her engaging style and her command of the subject. She clearly knows what she's writing about. And by the time I finished the book -- filled with tips, techniques, anecdotes, quizzes and quotes -- I felt I'd been given a powerful competitive advantage in my particular marketplace.

She frequently alludes to intuition as being useful in life as well as in business. I can vouch for that because since reading the book, I'm using my intuition every day as I conduct the business of my life.

Bottom line: Add this extraordinary book to your must-read list.

P.S. Last night I read about a November '06 survey conducted by PR giant Burson-Marstellar. The headline? CEOs More Likely to Rely on Intuition Than Metrics When Making Business Decisions. Looks like Robinson may have intuited a trend. Or started one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Trust Your Gut!, November 8, 2006
By Simone (Florida) - See all my reviews
The book's tips, quizzes and anecdotes are neatly and attractively tied together by author Lynn Robinson, someone I've come to know through her several books as a leading proponent of using one's intuition to create a successful life. For people like me, that includes business, and after reading Trust Your Gut, I feel lucky that someone as wise and astute as Lynn took it upon herself to turn her focus to the subject of intuition in business. You can probably tell that I'm an unabashed fan of hers. But don't let that stop you from savoring this delightfully written, remarkably valuable book. Forgive me, but I have to say it - trust your gut and get this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Gut Never Lies, March 15, 2007
Lynn Robinson has a great book of material on how trusting your gut pays off. The gut never lies and should be believed first. What is great about Trust Your Gut are the case studies of businesspeople who were a success thanks to their gut instinct. Information beyond the linear world is often more accurate and not prone to bias. If you need help gaining confidence in your choices this is a book to read!
