5.0 out of 5 stars Will draw you in until the very last page..., June 25, 2007
From the moment I opened the first page, I was immediately drawn into the scenery and the characters. I felt like I was in the South, sitting in the same room as they were, seeing what they were seeing. Under the Liberty Oak is a page turner, and Paige Cummings writes beautifully and I want a sequel! Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent read, July 29, 2007

I loved this book and couldn't put it down. It was an excellent mystery with a great story going between the present and 1964. I appreciate all of the descriptions and beautiful words. It made me feel like I was right there with the characters. I can't wait for either more about Brittan Lee or more from the author.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sizzling Summer, September 25, 2007
By Nash Black "Troubadour" (Jamestown, KY) - See all my reviews

"The taste of vegetables so fresh you want to slap them." This description buried in the center of "Under the Liberty Oak" is the perfect metaphor to describe the writing of Paige M. Cummings. The heat of a Georgia summer sizzles when Britten Lee Hayworth returns home to attend the funeral of a childhood friend whose remains are discovered in car forty years after she disappeared.
Britten's past and the efforts of family members to protect her conflict as the forces of justice, evil, and nature bend and twist a plot of hidden passions and deadly deeds.
This first novel is a keeper for our collection and we are waiting for a second edition or sequel to answer questions not addressed. Britten's future is in skilled hands.
Nash Black, author of "Sins of the Fathers" and "Travelers."
