1.0 out of 5 stars Carolina Cooking-NOT, March 1, 2008
Carolina Cooking? There may be great recipes, but not enough to deserve the book's title. For example: Jicama mango slaw, egg roll soba noodles with curry coconut sauce, Asian sweet and sour sauce, Moroccan pesto, chicken Milanese, Mediterranean couscous, tamales with adobo chicken, pork chops alla Zingara. And a sushi chapter! Those low country writers must have been on a trip!

5.0 out of 5 stars proud hostess, June 9, 2009
My husband and I hosted a lovely formal party for 150 people. We had our caterer use Carolina Cooking recipes for the entire menu. The guests were so impressed with the quality and variety of the selections from Carolina Cooking that many of them immediately ordered the cookbook from Amazon, and several also insisted that our local book store stock the book. The wonderful selections in the cookbook certainly encourage the reader to fequent the finer southern restaurants featured. We continue to use Carolina Cookbook recipes in our home. It is a treasure.
