About the Author
In the middle part of the Ninteen-nintey-five, I began my writing career with a book titled: "Thoughts of the Damned." A story about a serial killer that started off as a dare from my friends. Immediately upon completion of the first draft, I sent it off to a publisher expecting a rejection but it was accepted without question or a request for a rewrite. Big mistake. Four years later, I completed my second book "Curse of the Pharaoh," dealing with the life, death, and the curse of King Tut. Being needful of appreciation for my work, I again sent it out, unedited, and again it was accepted. As you can suspect, the money did not roll in like I had hoped so I buckled down, honed my craft, read, read, and read, until I finally began to tap into my potential. "Away from the Hourglass" is by far the best work I have ever done. It is based on people and events that were a part of my life and I needed to honor in death. Dina Burns was a real person who died in a car wreck at 2:10 AM, on January 1st, 2000. This book is dedicated to her memory, and if you decide to read it, I am sincerely grateful.
