5.0 out of 5 stars A Chilling Tale, September 10, 2008

Kill 4 Me is a great read for any fan of horror books. Casey and her family had suffered from such terrible losses, only to become the victim of a demonic spirit.

I was shocked when I learned why the spirit had decided Casey must pay for her sins. I highly recommend this book for all horror fans. I still find myself getting chills anytime I get a text on my cell phone from an unknown person.

This book keeps you drawn in from the start. I could not put it down for one minute. The story moves quickly. I finished the book in under two hours. Kill 4 Me has all the makings for a great movie.

5.0 out of 5 stars Turn off your cell phone when you read this book!, September 10, 2008
Kill 4 me blends an edge of your seat thriller with highlights of horror and suspense. Reading this book alone at night will definitely send chills up and down ones spine. The gruesome scenes in this book scared me easily, and actually I received a text message as I was finishing up this book and I literately jumped! This book would make the perfect horror movie! The storyline of this book is highly believable but the reader prays to never have to be in a situation anywhere near like Casey Dwyer. Joel M. Andre makes this book a pure nail biting thrill ride that will have you titillated in wondering what is going to happen next. A must read for any horror or thriller genre enthusiast!

4.0 out of 5 stars ALLBOOKS REVIEWS, September 1, 2008
By Jan Whitford (Jamestown, Rhode Island) - See all my reviews

If you're looking for a scary, quick read, then this is the book for you. The author captivates us right away with some terrific scene setting, full of sensory images, vivid descriptions, and plenty of suspense. The characters are real, the violence is deliciously gruesome, and I think fans of the horror genre will be enthralled. Although it's less than two hundred pages long and might better qualify as a novella, this little book packs quite a wallop; it held my attention so well--I devoured it in one sitting.
The story opens with a tense scene in which Casey Dwyer, our protagonist, is driving to a remote, disturbing area in the woods to pick up her sister, who is on foot. On the way home, they're involved in a nasty car wreck in which the sister is killed. Casey survives, but is injured and vulnerable so she goes to stay with her mother. Ominous text messages follow Casey. The suspense builds, cleverly written from three points of view: that of Casey, her mother, and a threatening apparition. The disturbing messages continue, culminating in an unthinkable request, heaping plenty of pressure on Casey. Will she go mad and end up in a mental institution? The ending will take you by surprise.
The author hails from Arizona; his previous books include: Pray the Rain Never Ends and A Death at the North Pole. You can visit him on the internet at: www.joelmandre.com.
