5.0 out of 5 stars UMD Students Loved The Presentation and Book!, October 28, 2009
By E. Arias (College Park, Maryland) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Great Book!
After reading the book it became clear that the steps needed to make the transition are relatively simple, but as Dr. Rodriguez states " It depends how much you want it". It gives a different perspective on how to approach the workforce and truly makes you think "outside the box"

I highly recommend this book to ALL students in a college/university institution because it is never too early to prepare yourself

5.0 out of 5 stars A fine addition to any business collection focusing on management, October 9, 2009
By Midwest Book Review (Oregon, WI USA) - See all my reviews
Common sense can get you far, but it isn't the answer to everything. "Not Intuitively Obvious: Transition to the Professional Work Environment..." is a combination memoir and business manual from one J.A. Rodriguez, a senior manager of a highly successful company. Offering perspective from the middle management, he gives readers much advice on honing their craft to inspire the most from their employees. "Not Intuitively Obvious" is a fine addition to any business collection focusing on management.

5.0 out of 5 stars Caution: Insider information to success, October 3, 2009
Definitely a good book for those looking for a concise guide book into what makes people successful in the working world. Whether in corp business, non-profit, not-for-profit, private sector, or public sector, this book provides a frame work for those who want to know how to get ahead the right way! It goes into how to positively present yourself in different situations, how to effectively work with coworkers / superiors / customers, and ALOT of other topics that are "not intuitively obvious".
