"A must-read."  —Dave Meltzer, columnist, Wrestling Observer Newsletter

"[Watts] discusses every facet of his career and does not shy away from talking about controversial topics."  —About.com

"Centers around Watts becoming a born-again Christian toward the end of his four decades as a top wrestler and promoter."  —South Florida Sun-Sentinel

"The autobiography of...a main-event wrestler who became one of wrestling's top promoters."  —The Galveston County Daily News

Product Description

Not a typical story of redemption, this autobiography is the compelling narrative of the profound change religion can make in even the most hardened heart. Former pro wrestler "Cowboy" Bill Watts documents his entire life story—from youthful altercations with the law to success as a sports star to personal salvation. Though largely about his personal journey, Watts's account also discusses the mechanics and power struggles of pro wrestling and his own role in one of the most savage promotional wars ever to hit the state of Georgia.

2.0 out of 5 stars too much cross, not enough cowboy, November 28, 2007
I was really looking forward to reading this book, but after only a few chapters my disappointment was overwhelming. Bill Watts has a really interesting story to tell. Sadly, he forcibly and REPEATEDLY inserts his religous awakening into every annecdote in this book, thereby ruining the entire tale... Would NOT be a good addition to any library outside of a church or prison.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing!, March 24, 2006
I have read almost ever book published by a professional wrestler and this BY FAR is the very best. I would recommend this book to not only wrestling fans but anyone who wants to hear a truly inspirational story.

I liked this book. It had a lot of good information, however, I felt that it contained too many details and would have been better if it had contained at least 50 less pages.
