About the Author

Dr. Abram Hoffer is a founding father of the alternative health movement and a prolific author. He practices medicine in Victoria, BC., Canada. Two of his other books are Hoffer's Laws of Natural Nutrition and Vitamin B-3 & Schizophrenia.

Linus Pauling, twice winner of the Nobel Prize, became interested in orthomolecular or megavitamin treatment for illness through the research of Dr. Hoffer, which resulted in the founding of the Linus Pauling Institute for the study of orthomolecular medicine and the publication of the best-selling books Vitamin C & The Common Cold and How To Live Longer and Feel Better.

I have bought four copies of this book. By adding heavy vitamins to regular surgery, radiation and chemotherapy, Hoffer's cancer patients lived 6 times as long as the controls, 6 years vs. 6 months, and some lived 13 plus years. He has treated over 1040 patients. His early results are in Cameron & Pauling's "Cancer and Vitamin C." Hoffer is helping my prostate cancer.

In brief, I am a long term cancer survivor due to my early consultations with Dr. Hoffer. I was told I'd live for 2 years without surgery.. I didn't have surgery and it's now over 6 years.
Dr. Hoffer was the first person that I turned to when I was diagnosed with a large chondrosarcoma (bone tumor). I immediately begain his prescribed treatment of mega dose vitamins which included Vitamin C, E, B, Niacin..

Vitamin C is cytotoxic to cancer cells and I'm living proof. I highly recommend his book if you or someone you know has cancer. The evidence is clear!!
