About the Author
Shawn Blore was born in Santa Barbara, California just a hop, skip, and jump down the West Coast but lengthy detours in Ottawa, Amsterdam, and Moscow kept him from reaching Vancouver until 1994. In the half-decade since, he's immersed himself in Terminal City's unique culture, becoming a self-declared expert on all things strange, unusual, and secret about the place. A journalist and magazine writer, Shawn has been published in The Globe and Mail, Elm Street, The Georgia Straight, BC Business, Canadian Geographic, and Vancouver. He's been nominated for numerous awards, and has won a Western Magazine Award, a National Magazine Award, and a Jack Webster Award.
