From Library Journal
Founded by Michael Hunter in 1985, Hunter Publishing has been offering travelers guides to unique destinations for over 14 years. The Adventure Guides series is the publishers signature collection and boasts over 40 titles; now two more guides, to Oklahoma and Nevada, have been added.. Common to each guidebook are detailed directions to points of interest and descriptions of hiking trailheads, shopping, and dining. Simple maps pinpoint the main attractions. In Oklahoma, you can visit the Ouachita National Forest for hiking or the National Cowboy Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City. In Nevada, head for Lake Tahoe, Red Rock Canyon, or the mysterious Area 51. Each guide also offers the usual tips to dining and accommodation costs, useful contact numbers, local festivals and celebrations, and more. These useful guides are highly recommended for travel sections in both academic and public libraries.Sandra Knowles, Sch. of Medicine Lib., Columbia, SC
