Reciprocity, RoAne (How To Work a Room, Audio Reviews, LJ 9/15/91) says, is the core of networking. She suggests joining organizations, finding a mentor, and helping other people achieve their goals as a means to building one's network. Unfortunately, she offers few secrets. For instance, sending "thank you" notes is surely good advice, but it is also a well-known and practiced courtesy. The author wanders from her topic, particularly when discoursing on business etiquette. At times she recites lists of appropriate behaviors with little elaboration. Only the largest business collections need consider.?Mark Guyer, Stark Cty. Dist. Lib., Canton, Ohio
