Editorial Reviews

Review

"In our time of worship entertainment on one side and dead formalism on the other, we need direction in worship that is consistent with biblical teaching and historical development, yet radically concerned for contemporary relevance. Authentic Worship in a Changing Culture speaks that word." -- Robert Webber, Director, Institute for Worship Studies, Professor of Religion, Wheaton College

"This is impressive evidence of the maturing of American Protestantism. What the Christian Reformed Church has accomplished in articulating the theological, biblical, nd historical dimensions of the church's most immportant activity should be widely admired and imitated by other churches. It may well prove to be a classic statement of the unity of theory and practice in worship." -- James F. White, Professor of Liturgical Studies, Notre Dame University

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Little Book, December 14, 2004
By Randy Given (Manchester, CT USA) - See all my reviews
(TOP 500 REVIEWER)    (REAL NAME)
This is an excellent little book that can be read in a few hours. It stems from the Christian Reformed Church (CRC), but can easily be used in almost any presbyterian evangelical type church. It is solid doctrine and is excellent for any church in almost any situation. It is especially helpful for churches considering expanding to multiple services and/or having services of different "styles". Highly recommended.
