reSchool-K-In this simple rhyming story, children are asked to help the many animal friends of Cuckoo, a wide-eyed, blue-and-purple bird, locate some missing items. "Bear can't find his pear. Crow can't find her bow. Fox can't find her socks," and so on. Each spread features a brightly colored animal in its habitat, rendered in collage style on a mainly white background. Hidden objects are blended into these pictures. With 13 of these spreads in all, the book may be too lengthy for some children. Those who stick with it long enough to reach the final page will find a mirrored surface with the phrase: "Cuckoo can't find you." Consider this title as an additional purchase that may entertain small groups and patient preschoolers.
