4.0 out of 5 stars A Good Read!, April 16, 2001
Finally, a book that honestly identifies and analyzes that prolific workplace species - the jerk. Organized by situation and topic, Jerks at Work presents the answers to at least 200 jerk-related questions from real-life readers that were originally published in author Ken Lloyd's syndicated On the Job column. The book is psychologically sound, excruciatingly direct, extremely funny and, above all, actually helpful. Lloyd does a splendid job of covering all the bases and every kind of jerk, from the boardroom to the mailroom. We [...] highly recommend this book to everyone, because every company has at least one jerk.

1.0 out of 5 stars Jerks atg Work, February 15, 2005
This book is a big waste of time (and money) ...in every instance given about
dealing with jerks, he suggests talking the problem over with the jerk...jerks
don't want to talk...they just want to make you miserable. buy "Toxic Coworkers:
How to Deal with..." instead, which explains the personality you are dealing with;
thereby enlightening you how to handle that person.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Must-Read for Jerks Everywhere, May 7, 2005
I stumbled across this excellent book while printing copies at Kinko's one day. It was more than just a coincidence with all of the problems I was having at work with micromanagers and their little cohorts.

I thought this book was an excellent guide to the types of jerks at work and ways to deal with them. The one problem I see with this work is that it won't be read by the people who really need to read it: the jerks themselves.

If you like this, read "The Digital Umbrella" to see just how nasty these Jerks at Work can get.
