Amazon.com Review
Caroline Myss, who's billed as "America's Leading Medical Intuitive," explores the connections between mind, body, and spirit by defining how stress and emotion contribute to disease, suggesting ways to harness our inherent spiritual powers and ultimately giving hope to patients whose illnesses have failed to respond to conventional treatment. This collection contains three of her most popular titles:
Spiritual Madness,
Spiritual Power, Spiritual Practice, and
Why People Don't Heal. In each, she explores the relationship between ancient notions of a human energy system and modern scientific study on how thoughts influence our bodies and our lives.
From Library Journal
This audio package collects Myss's most current releases, Why People Don't Heal, Spiritual Madness, and Spiritual Power, Spiritual Practice. Many libraries that have been tracking and purchasing this important lecturer and medical intuitive may already own these titles. However, listening to them in a single package does offer an enhanced understanding of Myss's views regarding the human energy system, blocks towards fully using this system, and methods to unblocking this flow. In Why People Don't Heal, she offers her personal and professional insights into why many people cannot summon the energy to heal their psychological, physical, and spiritual wounds. For those who decide they want to take action, Spiritual Madness alerts the listener to the challenges one faces as one seeks to summon the soul (energy) back into present time and away from the distractions into which it is invested. Finally, in Spiritual Power, Spiritual Practice, Myss presents meditations and practical advice on developing the discipline of noticing when, and to where, one's energy is being drained. While there is some duplication of information among the tapes, it is usually warranted to understand the principles presented. Before purchasing these tapes, libraries should make sure that they own Myss's seminal work Anatomy of the Spirit: The Seven Stages of Power and Healing. Highly recommended for libraries interested in self-help or mind/body topics. The boxed set offers a significant discount over single purchase; however, the ability to purchase single sets will help to ensure the viability of the set when tapes are lost or damaged.AKathleen Sullivan, Phoenix P.L.
