5.0 out of 5 stars The Occult World (1884), March 7, 2009
By Dr. Greg (Northern CA, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Occult World (Paperback)
While it is probably true that various publishers produce differences in the final product of this book, Health Research Books offers a very clear copy and at a reasonable price. This unique work by A. P. Sinnett features not only a justification for the Theosophy Society and its leader Madame Blavatsky, but it also presents various occult happenings which the author witnessed. These manifestations of things and writings from the Brotherhood, the Adepts as they are called, makes for astounding reading. The style of writing is old world European, with long sentences and descriptive flourishes here and there. But if you can get through the verbal shrubbery, you are in for a treat, for the content shines. There are many books on the occult, but this one presents first-hand manifestations of the spirit world for the benefit of humankind.

2.0 out of 5 stars Kessinger Publishing, November 19, 2008
By Aliaksandr Patapenka (Montreal, Quebec, Canada) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Please DO NOT order a version of this book by Kessinger Publishing. The reprint version they offer is of a very poor quality ( it's a poor quality photocopy pasted in a larger format ) . The book itself is a treat though.
