Not in my 13 years of reading antique related reading have I enjoyed a book as much as Judith Katz-Schwartz's Protecting Your Collectible Treasures: Secrets of a Collecting Diva. In addition to smart, inexpensive ways to clean, store, repair and care for all your treasures from paper to metal and glass to lace, the book is loaded with hysterical antedotes that make it a delightful as well as informative read.

My wife has been a fan of Ms. Katz-Schwartz since the days of Personal FX. When I saw that she had written a book on the things she had demonstrated on that show, I knew it was a perfect way to score points with my wife. How right I was! Her tips on how to care for collectibles using ordinary items found in the closet are fabulous. In addtion, her anecdotes range from amusing to hilarious.
I do have one question for Ms. Katz-Schwartz..... when can we expect a second book?

I have read numerous books about collecting, trying to gain some more knowledge in this field. None have been as informative, useful and most importantly accessible as this one. After watching Ms. Judith on as many of her television appearances as I could over the years, I knew she would score high on my list with this book. The scope of her practical knowledge about all things collectible is incredible, but she has a (knick)knack for sharing all this information in such an engaging, entertaining manner that I read this book as much for her anecdotal short stories as for the actual hints. I have already saved several items from my collections using her methods. When can we expect another book from this author? I love her writing.
