Book Description
Dick Wright began his career drawing ushers at church and spending too much time doodling in school. Still, with a lot of prayer and a little luck, he graduated anyway. He grew up to be an award-winning editorial cartoonist. Wright remains very active in church work. He helped start a new church in northern Virginia and continues to be active as an adult Sunday school teacher and church leader.
Dick Wright has been the editorial cartoonist of the Columbus Dispatch since 1996, yet he began his cartooning career in 1974. In the past, he has worked on the West and East coasts, for the San Diego Union and the Providence Journal, respectively. His cartoons, syndicated by United Feature Syndicate, have been featured in many editions of Pelicans Best Editorial Cartoons of the Year series.
