About the Author

 

Graduating from the West Coast College of Astrology in the mid 80s, Celeste Teal (Arizona) actually began her journey into the field of astrology as a complete skeptic. The first time she opened a book on the subject, in 1975, it was to discredit astrology and to prove to an acquaintance that astrology couldn’t be believed. However, the first book she opened happened to show a little more than the usual sun sign descriptions and she found enough truth within those pages to convince her that there was indeed something to it. The surprising revelation that the planetary positions at our birth and their movements following birth are somehow synchronized with human events greatly excited her and it wasn’t long before she realized she’d found her calling as she delved passionately into the art of astrology as a means by which to learn more about the meaning of life.

Her goal is to promote astrology and teach astrologers the most valuable and reliable techniques for interpreting the horoscope. 

Celeste Teal has continually written for the popular astrology magazines since 1986. These include American Astrology Magazine, Dell Horoscope, Astrology, Your Daily Horoscope, and True Astrology Forecast. She has written for Sydney Omarr’s Astrological Guide and has contributed to Today’s Astrologer, a publication by the American Federation of Astrologer’s and to the Arizona Society of Astrologer’s newsletter.

Celeste Teal is the author of three well-received books, Predicting Events with Astrology, 1999; Identifying Planetary Triggers, 2000; and Eclipses: Predicting World Events & Personal Transformation, 2006; all published by Llewellyn Worldwide.  Her most recent book, Eclipses, was reviewed in Library Journal.

Celeste is hostess of her popular website, called Moon Valley Astrologer (at www.moonvalleyastrologer.com). Celeste provides fee-based personal tutoring services on line, in addition to providing consultations for an established professional clientele.

I have been a student of astrology since 1972. I was lucky enough to have some formal classes in the beginning. Everything that I have learned about astrology since then came from books. I learned how to do composite charts from reading Robert Hand's book. Since then I have never had one book that had so much to offer until Predicting Events With Astrology by Celeste Teal. The book is written in a way the reader can understand and follow. Celeste doesn't waste words. She hones in on a subject and explain it in a clear concise way.

I have accumulated a small library of astrology books since the early 70's. Some I use constantly as reference books. Others just gather dust. Celeste's book will never get dusty on my shelves.

Celeste Teal has given us a real, working, nuts and bolts reference. This is a book that will teach you how to think like an astrologer and take command of a chart reading. If you have been studying astrology for awhile this book is an excellent demonstration on how to put all that accumulated knowledge to some good use. Celeste's book does not spend a lot of time on theory, it does not give delineations for every aspect, and it does not do any hand-holding. Predicting Events With Astrology is a true attempt to teach the grasping of the Big Picture and, in my opinion, the author has succeeded wonderfully. I have gained a great deal of confidence in my ability to delineate a chart since I read this book. Get this book if you have a firm grasp on the "basics" and you are ready for a breakthrough!

As I completely agree with the preceding reviews, I wasn't planning to add anything to them, till I remembered how doubtful I was about ordering this book. If you are like me, you tend to stay away from authors with Seemingly made-up names, but then I realized that every mag article I'd read by Ms.Teal had been very informative, so I ordered. This book is No Disappointment, & one thing I appreciated is her info on using converse, precessed, & converse precessed with your Solar Return charts, giving you 4 layers rather than just the one.Using the 1st natal planet to rise in the Return chart is well-eplained also. Am now ordering her 2nd book, & am very glad I bought this one!
