Product Description

Mankind has always sought ways to achieve better health and increased longevity. Here Eric Yudelove presents a complete course in Taoist health, sexual rejuvenation and longevity practices, marking the first time that much of this knowledge has been made available to Western readers. 129 illustrations.

About the Author

Eric Yudelove has studied Taoist practices since 1970. In 1981, he was one of the first American students chosen to study with Mantak Chia, the authenic Tao Master who had recently emigrated to the US from Thailand. In 1983, he became one of the original Certified Instructors for the Healing Tao. Since then he has continued to teach, write about the study of Chi Kung, Tai Chi, Taoist meditation, and the long held secret practices of Taoist Internal Alchemy and Taoist Sexual Yoga. In 1997, he was awarded Senior Instructor status from the Mantak Chia’s International Healing Tao.

Yudelove’s third title for Llewellyn, Taoist Yoga and Sexual Energy, uses the same three-pronged approach first presented in his title 100 Days To Better Health, Good Sex & Long Life—100 days, or 14 weeks, of lessons on the Three Treasures of Taoist Yoga: Chi (breath), Jing (body), and Shen (mind). Where 100 Days… used introductory lessons, Taoist Yoga and Sexual Energy continues to more advanced practices and lessons.

5.0 out of 5 stars 100 Days to Better Health, Good Sex & Long Life: A Guide to, January 12, 2003
By A Customer
'100 Days' will last a person 100 years. Full of valuable information, it will take much longer than 100 days to incorporate. A friend and I did the 100-day program and found this only long enough to skim the surface. Now on my second go-through of the program, I am taking a month to do each of Yudelove's weekly exercises. This book is a basic text for anyone interested in understanding and practicing qigong - or anyone who wants to know how energy influences the body, mind and health. Highly recommended.

4.0 out of 5 stars More than meets the eye..., July 15, 2004
By Thomas (Helsinki, Finland) - See all my reviews
At first look this book might just seem like lots of Mantak Chia's books have been condensed into just one volume. That's not bad at all: despite all the material from Chia there has never been a good structured approach learning it by yourself. This book is *the* Guide to help you through the early training: the exercises are described well, the illustrations are better than in most of Chia's books and new things are gradually and methodologically introduced to the student. Sometimes I missed more detailed explanation on the theory (that's why I only gave 4 stars) but this book takes the practical approach: you learn by doing.

But this book is more than just Chia's stuff: if you do the meditations described here and don't start fooling around with your own modifications, prepare for a (pleasant) surprise: this is not just a book on exercise, is is a start of a spiritual journey. Achieving the Golden Light by a balanced training of your Three Treasures (Essence, Qi and Spirit) is a small breakthrough in itself. Consider it as a Gift from Dao.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best way to learn the "way", March 3, 1999
By A Customer
Eric Yudelove has written a really wonderful book. The Healing Tao meditations were never difficult, but the way they are usually taught - through weekend or one-week seminars - can leave you feeling confused, especially if the material is new. As students, we need time to assimilate the material, and a roadmap to guide us through it. Eric's method - to divide the material into 14 weekly lessons, each of which builds upon the previous - makes perfect sense. It's well thought out and well written, and too bad he didn't publish it earlier - I'd have saved a lot of time.
