About the Author
When her daughter was born, Dana Kenny discovered that sleep (or rather the lack of it) is one of the most often discussed topics among new parents. Dana's daughter was sleeping through the night at only three weeks old, so Dana shared her tips on the subject with other parents. Everyone kept telling her that she should write a book. At the time she didn't think much of it .
Dana's daughters great sleeping habits continued until her daughter reached the age of 2 1/2 years old. Then the troubles began. Her daughter began resisting going to bed and would wake during the night from nightmares. Dana needed a quick solution. She looked for books on the subject, but found them to be lengthy and full of tactics that weren't right for her child. All the books offered only one method, such as letting your child cry. Unable to find the right answers in books, Dana followed her heart and came up with some new ideas of her own to restore her childs good sleeping habits!
As a result of her struggles and her successes, Dana was now compelled to write a book on the subject of getting children to sleep. She created her book based on the belief that every child is unique and the one method will not work for everyone. In her parent's guide she shares 50 of her loving tips that help children sleep through the night. She also offer tips for getting toddlers to nap and for helping children overcome nightmares. As an alternative to following the advice of so-called experts, her guide encourages and enables parents to decide what will work best for their child. And knowing from experience that any parent whose child has sleep problems is too exhausted to read a long book, Dana made her guide brief and easy to use. That's how 50 Easy Ways To Get Your Child To Sleep was born.
