From Booklist
The Zone Diet displays more endurance than other fads for weight maintenance. Russ Klettke and dietitian Deanna Conte have combined forces to make this sort of regimen more appealing to today's male who is still somewhat embarrassed or intimidated by recipes.
A Guy's Gotta Eat recommends to its readers a lifestyle that carefully weighs protein, carbohydrate, and fat intake. Avoiding the exactitude of standard recipes, Klettke's method for preparing foods calls for approximations such as "large spoonful," fearing that precision frightens guys. A dose of French-bashing panders to current politics.
