Biscotti restaurant chef-owner Bianco provides this in-depth exploration of what she considers an underused home cooking technique-sautéing. All recipes in this volume, which range from Pizza Puttanesca with Asiago cheese to Bananas in Cream and Hazelnut Liqueur, are inspired by dishes served at her Italian eatery in Ridgefield, Conn., and all are sautéed. Hard to believe that you can create such mouth watering meals in one pan....and so quickly! The ease of cooking gives the working person the opportunity to prepare a meal that looks AND tastes like it just came home from their favorite upscale restaurant. The "icing on the cake"..... is that the recipes feature ingredients that are healthy.
I am a "dessert-aholic", and the fruit desserts are wonderful! (I don't even miss the icing!)
Chef Silvia's presentations are fun to read, easy to prepare, delicious to taste!!!!A stellar gift!!!!!

Impressively easy to follow the chef's direction and make delicious meals in less than thirty minutes. Different way of looking at Italian food that takes good classic recipes and makes them interesting, unique, and easy to prepare.

Bottom line is this a great cookbook providing even novice cook's with the ability to appear a pro in the kitchen!

Loved the easy layout. Was very humourous, especially compared to usually very stiff and dry recipe standards in most cookbooks. Chef Silvia has a very easy to follow style and her light hearted and informational asides give teriffic insight into her innate food knowledge.
Had family over for extended get together and college student niece made two dishes from Simply Saute'. We all loved them and the whole family wants the book! I'm telling you this is easy stuff and it really is Delicious!
