Editorial Reviews
Book Description
They appear seemingly out of nowhere, one moment a pristine field, the next moment a complex and mysterious design imprinted in the nearly ripened wheat. The stalks are bent and laid in swirls and patterns of mathematical precision and yet remain virtually undamaged. Some designs demonstrate principles of geometry while others portray ancient religious symbols. Skeptics tell us they’re hoaxes, but no one can fully explain how these patterns are created with such speed and accuracy. Some even believe there are alien forces at work.

The Crop Circles 2005 wall calendar features thirteen incredible crop circle photographs paired with fascinating information about this phenomenon by expert Freddy Silva, a leading researcher of the crop circle phenomena and author of Secrets in the Fields: The Science and Mysticism of Crop Circles, published by Hampton Roads in 2002.

Liddington, England
This series of interlinking rings appeared below Liddington Hill Fort, a Neolithic site of worship where, according to legend, King Arthur fought his last battle. Each of the circles’ diameters generate a series of ratios relating to the music scale – in this case the notes C, E and A – a reminder of the role sound plays in the manifestation of crop circles.

5.0 out of 5 stars Open your life to the organic beauty of the unexplainable, October 21, 2004
By Jon W. Davis (Albuquerque, NM USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
For a person grounded in science and engineering I can't help but look at crop cirlces with utter fascination and wonder. Having read several of the crop cirlce books including the book that spawned this calendar I find my logical brain being pulled to the sacred and mysterious. What strikes me most about many crop circles are their deep rooted beauty. They a strike a chord in me that is beyond the logical. As a designer and builder of custom homes I know how things are made. While many crop circles are crude and look man made to me there are many very complex circles that have a perfection of form and craft that is virtually perfect. Seeing beautiful crop circles makes me smile. I don't have any idea of what they are or how they are manifested. Truth is stranger than fiction, so the saying goes!

5.0 out of 5 stars Just a calendar?, July 8, 2005
Just looking at each of these crop circles monthly on my wall absorbs me in a way no art ever has. Reading Freddy Silva's remarks alongside the photo takes one even deeper... Far more than just a calendar.
