You see, ol'Fred-X has resumed his nasty habit of stealing cats, this time Italian cats, whom he's planning to sell into international slavery with the help of his European girlfriend Frieda-K and a shady cardinal from the Vatican - Cardinal Umberto Uccello. Fighting the greedy forces of evil, the cats of the C.I.A. enlist the assistance of il Papa, the pope, himself, as they track Fred-X and Frieda-K from Rome to the Trentino to Venezia. Setting a diabolically clever trap for the evil owls with the help of a band of Greek stunt cats on motorcycles and a man with a wooden hand, they learn something about Italian geography and culture. And they learn to speak some everyday Italian along the way.
