5.0 out of 5 stars A modern Voodoo Grimoire destined to be a classic., November 19, 2002
This is not a book on the Voudun Religion, but is what the title suggests a Grimoire of Voodoo as practiced in the southern stats of America. And as most Grimoires it is intended for the Sorcerer as a guide for invoking and conjuring Spiritual Beings, as well as casting hexes. This is a book of Folk Magic, brought to the Americas by African Congo Slaves. The book is a bit expensive, but the wealth of information is priceless. The only thing is that allot of people who really do not have the proper knowledge of working Voodoo or brujeria, can really harm themselves or others. In the Voodoo Grimoire the reader learns how to work the candles. Learns how to conjure the dead as done in Southern Voodoo. Learns a form a bone casting Voodoo divination, call upon Papa Legba as well as other Lwas, and Spirit Families for aid. Learn how to build an Ancestral Altar, and learn how to create a Hoodoo box. All in all it is a Grimoire and can be dangerous for the person who uses it with no proper training, lack of respect, or ignorance.

5.0 out of 5 stars Authentic Grimoire, July 13, 2005
I have purchased a number of occult books from the publisher,
IGOS and they are always high quality editions, especially the
hardcover books which are beautifully done. Voodoo Sorcery
Grimoire is another great IGOS magickal grimoire. One feels the
occult power of the author as soon as you start reading the book, and the style of writing is clear and straighforward. The author also includes the way to create a Hoodoo Spirit Box, which in itself is well worth the cost of the book and is a very powerful tool for occult purposes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Intense & Informative!, December 13, 2000
Brujo Negro is not just your average practitioner but rather a cut above because of his intense passion for Sorcery and also the fact that he is student of cultural anthropology. This has led him to research his workings to their roots and he draws upon Caribbean Obeah, Voudoun and Brujeria to round out his personal system. This is very good to know especially in a day and age where "some" authors will print anything and even invent stories to support their workings! Rest assured that what the El Brujo Negro writes about has been researched and tried out by himself with success. His ethics are pure and his mind keen as a blade. I feel very fortunate to consider him a colleague as well as a personal friend and highly recommend this book -- you WILL NOT be sorry! It is an investment in yourself and future to buy this book and start using it. The book is easy to read and follow, and the illustrations are very helpful.
