Review
The ordinary nontechnical reader will find the text easy to follow without any trace of talking down to the reader.... Most public librarians will find this a helpful reference work.
ARBAThe volume is well organized....The book is well written, uses correct technical nomenclature, and provides current references for further reading. It also has a complete subject index at the end. I recommend Cone and Barnes-Svarney's How the New Technology Works highly for high school and college students, teaching professionals at the high school or college level, and general audiences.
Science Books & FilmsThe presentations are appropriate for high school level students and adults....Since the information is quite basic, it will remain appropriate for research for several years.
