Product Description
Learn to step out from under the size restrictions of stencils to create your own quilting designs. Look at hearts, leaves, and flowers as creative opportunities to use feathers. Learn to master pattern repeats, and flow designs around corners. Working with simple tools like large sheets of paper, a feathered design template, and basic drawing tools, you too can create designs that fit perfectly into the blocks and borders in your quilt. AUTHORBIO: Anita Shackelford has been quilting for 35 years. Her quilts have been exhibited across the United States and in Australia, winning 12 Best of Show awards. A resident of Ohio, she has traveled extensively, teaching and lecturing for shops, guilds, and quilting conferences. REVIEW: An excellent resource for enthusiastic quilters who want to add that special extra touch. Infinite Feathers is very user friendly for even the most novice quilter.

About the Author
Anita Shackelford has been making quilts since 1967 and teaching since 1980. She has taught in her home, for adult education, for shops and guilds across the United States, and for AQS and NQA during their annual shows. Anita has been a member of the National Quilting Association (NQA) since 1982 and is currently serving as membership chairman. She is a charter member of the American Quilter's Society (AQS) and also belongs to the American Quilt Study Group, and Country Crossroads Quilters in Bucyrus, Ohio. Anita's quilts have won awards in shows across the United States, including six Best of Shows and several for technical excellence. Two of her quilts have received the Mary Krickbaum Award for best hand quilting at a National Quilting Association show. The focus of her work is on dimensional applique and fine hand quilting. She enjoys using and teaching nineteenth-century techniques, combined with her own designs, to create today's album quilts. She is also an NQA certified quilt judge and has been involved in judging shows at local, regional, and national levels.
