What a refreshing and delightful historical and travel book. In merely 80 pages Ms. Westerman introduces us to the rich history of this region; and all of the amazing opportunities for visitors and residents alike. Art, amazing restaurants, great shopping and regular historical reenactments make for a great trip and a great book! Thank you Ms. Westerman.

I picked this book up at the end of my holiday vacation. I could not put it down until it was finished. It is very well organized with excellent photos to document each place described. It held my attention as it started with selected and relevantly interesting history of each place and then moved the reader on to the present very nicely. Carla Westerman captured the people, both the past and the present of this very historical community in Southern Pennsylvania. Once finished, I wanted to move to Chadd's Ford or at the very least, send some money to the historical society so that all is preserved and enjoyed.

This keepsake book reveals many stories of Chadds Ford that most seasoned residents of Chester County will be surprised by. The text is engaging the the photographs really capture the beauty and historic spirit of the area. This book stands out from all others of it's kind.
