5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, not only a "how to" but also artworthy itself., May 23, 1998
By a4mom@aol.com (Virginia, USA) - See all my reviews
Bethmann does an excellent job at making art prints from nature accessible to even those who are all thumbs when it comes to painting. She throughly enjoys the techniques she explains and illustrates, and conveys this with a light and encouraging tone. The book itself is enjoyable to look at as well as to read, then it becomes a guide to follow. I felt as if I had stepped into Laura's home as had a private one-on-one seminar in how to capture nature at its finest. Each chapter becomes a return visit with a master artist and a welcoming friend. Who hasn't seen some interesting leaf or flower and wished there was some way to capture its beauty like a fine artist? Laura will show you how.
