1.0 out of 5 stars The Everything Car Care Book, June 29, 2004
By MATTHEW GADNIS (Fresno, CA) - See all my reviews
On page 46 it states to check the tires when warmed up
to "normal" operating temperature.
Dunlop, Goodyear, my Chevrolet Owner's Manual all say to check the tires COLD.

On page 67 it states that synthetic oil has the same molecular structure as the regular stuff.
Synthetic oils are made by chemically combining, in a lab, lower-molecular-weight materials to produce a finished product with planned and predictable properties. Synthetics are custom designed products in which each phase of their molecular construction is programmed to produce an ideal lubricant.
Synthetics in general are far superior to their petroleum based counterparts and have a different molecular structure.

IF A CAR BOOK IS THAT FAR OFF ON TIRES AND OIL, WHAT'S IT WORTH?

5.0 out of 5 stars Informative with flair!, November 26, 2002
By Cole (South Carolina) - See all my reviews
Finally, a car book that is fun to ready and right on target. I suggest picking up two copies; one for the nightstand and one to keep in the car.

I found myself chuckling at the the experiences and examples the authors wrote about because I have had the similiar ones. Now, with this book, I have a definitive source to go to for answers!

I highly recommend this book!
