5.0 out of 5 stars excellent design source book, September 21, 2001
By joanna l gollberg (marshall, nc United States) - See all my reviews
i find this book excellent for ideas on technical specifics. it is extrememly helpful when figuring out joint options, connection, earring findings...i love that it has so many thumbnails to look at and browse through. when i finsh looking throught he book, i am ready to go, with new ideas i have formulated on my own, but that have been sparked by looking at so many options of ways to make things.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Reference Book for Jewellery Students/Practitioners, August 27, 2005
By S. Ray "Facemaker01" (South Australia) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I purchased this book specifically after borrowing a copy from the Library where I am studying Visual Arts. As the title reflects, this book is a reference guide only. The format makes it easy for the reader to quickly select the section that they wish to peruse. I also purchased Olver's other 2 books (The Art of Jewellery Design & Jewelry Making techniques book)to complement this book. Extremely well written with plenty of technical drawings, photographs and explanations of various terminologies.
