I don't get it, February 28, 2005
This was really one of the worst romance novels I have read in a long, long, long, time. I can usually pick um but something was really wrong this time. It seems as if the author was following a romance novel outline and didn't take the time to make sure she had a good story. She jumped around from idea to idea, it was like she said "okay there has to be danger, I'll put that here. Oh, I need the couple to have conflict, I'll put that here. Wait! the story is almost over, they need to make up real quick." Honestly, I could not wait till the end of the book. I only finished it because I was at work for 12 hours and there was nothing else to do. If you love a great romance story that FLOWS, I could not recommend this to you.

Almost Tempting, April 9, 2001
The "Temptation" for me was maintaining my focus of the plotline. Danita Godfrey and Stuart Lowell grew up in the family business, a business that linked two families thru partnership if not in romance. With the retirement of Danita's uncle from the flagstore of the business leaving an impending vacancy on the board, Stuart and Danita who have always proven to be fierce competitors are brought together with each realizing that one of them would walk away with the coveted position.
Family secrets, deceit, greed and health issues provide a fairly disconnected measure of intrigue. This is where I found the plot sketchy with Danita and Stuart falling into the scheme of Danita's uncle and his partner in malipulation Alan, Stuart's father.
Danita realized that she did need to prove her abilities in the boardroom to cover for past insecurities and hurt. She opened her heart to the healing love of the man the other "cousins" fantasized about. Stuart let his concern and love forge the compromise that would allow them both what that wanted with each other and their dream for success.

Oh, the temptation!, June 12, 2002
The Lowells and the Godfreys have been in business for decades, but have never openly dated or formed any other alliances outside the business realm. Now the ones holding the strings decide to tempt the fate where Stuart and Danita are involved. Both are young workaholics that will stop at nothing to gain the frontal store, Lowell NY.The attraction between Danita and Stuart is rampant when they are sent to Tyler's home "to pack up the house" in readiness to be sold. They are unaware of the real reason behind this request, but it does not matter because what is meant to be will indeed surface. In "Temptation" Danita's and Stuart's feelings for each other rise. The pull is so strong. They are helpless where love sprouts. Danita is willing to forego her drive for the #1 spot in the company all because of her new found love for Stuart. Also, Stuart is so concerned about Danita's health problems until he will do anything to relieve her stress, even if it means giving up his desire for the top position. Both are determined to win the #1 store, however because of love they are overcome with temptation to do what's best for the other. "Temptation" focused more on the business management then on the romance of the couple. It left the reader to imagine what transpired behind closed doors. Overall, "Temptation" was a good book! I enjoyed it and will definitely purchase/read another book by this writer.
