3.0 out of 5 stars Nice to Look At, February 1, 2007
Beautiful photography, but there's not much substance. The potential applications of the included patterns are limited.

3.0 out of 5 stars Mostly grreat ideas but not all are well thought out., June 13, 2007

The book has some really cute, original ideas for children. I was very excited to get started on a project for my daughter. The instructions were very basic and did not include sufficient detail to avoid making mistakes. Also, the project was far too small to turn it inside out without pushing a hole through the fabric. I will most likely stick to embroidered items and will avoid the doll projects in the book.

3.0 out of 5 stars A Sweet Book, September 8, 2008
It is filled with beautiful photography that is cropped so closely you can't see a good image of the finished object. The projects are sweet, though, and inspire me to make all sorts of gorgeous little things for the children in my life. I never considered working a design (redwork style) entirely in yellow, for example, as is done on a blanket in this book. The sailboats are charming and the little mary-janes are too precious not to try. I would definitely recommend this book if you can pick it up second hand.
