Review

Sharon Franquemont-a former professor at John F. Kennedy University and an intuition coach and consultant in the fields of business, education, and psychotherapy-has been teaching people how to access their spontaneous inner wisdom for nearly 30 years. She is one of the intuition movement's pioneers and elders, and her book rings with the depth and resonance that only long and intensive experience with the subject can provide.

"Twenty-eight years of working with intuition have taught me that intuition thrives best as a way of life rather than just a tool one picks up and puts down," writes Franquemont. "Intuition's value extends far beyond simple problem-solving or decision-making, or creative breakthroughs. Intuition serves our deepest purpose and places us in harmony with what the universe and our soul intend."

Neophytes could hardly hope to find a more knowledgeable and articulate guide to intuition than Franquemont. And readers already steeped in the literature will find a banquet of new insights and techniques in this truly inviting book. -- Intuition Magazine, April 1999 --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

4.0 out of 5 stars A truly useful and engaging SELF help book!, July 4, 1999
This book is much more than a series of eloquently phrased anecdotes or philosophies. It goes beyond other books in that it provides specific exercises (or invitations) that help the reader recognize and connect with the intuition they already possess. I have been working with it for several weeks now, and I smile (and sometimes cry) at the surprising, almost poetic results. The "Image Vocabulary" that Ms. Franquemont has you build for yourself may seem like sport at first, but you'll be startled by the almost magical messages your intuition can bring you with these images. I'm a very pragmatic, logical person who approached this book with a sincere desire to know and a fear of being conned: Yet, I've learned and experienced so much from within myself as a result, that I'm happy to give "You Already Know What To Do" a big thumbs up! My thanks to all who made this book possible.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gave me the confidence to hone and follow my instincts., September 29, 1999
By A Customer
A textbook of techniques to follow for those who recognize their own intuitive qualities and wish to heighten them or for those who question the existence of intuition in others and themselves. Examples abound of those who have followed the directions of their souls after having become accomplished following Ms. Franquemonts course. One recognizes why we respond in different ways to the world around us and the centers within ourselves, how our brain dominance impacts on our choices and decisionmaking and problem solving. Intuition is described as a tool which we have failed to utilize. Having acquired the skills to do so we can redirect our lives towards their real and genuine purpose with the resulting joy we deserve.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good content but poorly edited and hard on the eyes., September 18, 1999
By A Customer
This is a thoughtful book with lots of useful information on intuition. The problem is that the print is so tiny, and I, being over 50 y.o., get eye strain trying to read it without a magnifying lens. There are also many typos, misspellings, misplaced commas, incomplete sentences, wrong grammar, etc., that it reads more like an unedited first draft than a finished product. The material is worthwhile but I wish it could be presented in a less physically painful format. Clearly, the publisher did not "already know what to do" with this text. If it were more readable, I would have given it 4 or 5 stars.
