From School Library Journal
Grade 2-3-Small-format books with very basic biographical information. All three titles include background on their subjects' early lives and mention of their significant accomplishments. The eight spreads in each book contain an average of five to seven lines of text facing an often grainy or blurry black-and-white photograph or reproduction. In Nightingale, the woman's crusade for clean hospitals is covered. Addams looks at the social reformer's plan for Hull House, while Pasteur covers the scientist's discoveries about germ microbes and vaccines. Adequate titles for libraries in which there is a demand for biographies for this audience.
