Product Description

The world has moved on, and the burning asphalt connects the creaking remains of civilization across miles of wasteland. To stay alive, you've got to keep ahead of the warlords, the Creep clouds, the muties... and to do that you need gas, guns, and gear, in that order.

Take on the role of the marauder, walker, redliner, talker, or rigger. Explore buried high-tech military complexes or navigate treacherous green zones with mutie critters and cannibal savages. Some will be survivors, some will be heroes. Good luck being both.

Each Horizon book is a complete, self-contained d20 RPG. Use it for amonth-long diversion; use it for occasional one-off adventures; or use it for an epic ampaign that you'll be talking about for years.

Horizon: The farthest reaches of roleplaying.

4.0 out of 5 stars Short and sweet, March 20, 2009
By Krypter (Canada) - See all my reviews
A good, short introduction to a post-apocalyptic Mad Max-style world of road warriors, radiation and mutants. Good graphic design and nice black-and-white interior art complement the gritty atmosphere of the setting, and the few spelling errors can be forgiven. There are some good d20 rules on driving, backgrounds (instead of races), the Creep (a combination of radiation/chemicals/bugs/pollution) and some novel ideas on construction, lore and trading, but far too many strange and illogical feats. Overall, a short and fun intro to post-atomic adventuring with a little bit of setting info thrown in as well. Can't be beat for the price.
