James D.Harris, Psy.D. recently retired as a Los Angeles County Deputy Sherriff after twenty-eight years on the force. He has a doctorate in psychology, which he earned while working full-time as a police officer. He has lectured at many police organizations and at the Los Angeles Police Academy. He lives in Los Angeles, California.
