This book has the best of intentions, but honestly, for anyone just to pick it up and start reading it, it's almost indecipherable. And I'm not only talking about the incredible need for proofreading in every conceiveable area. On the other hand, if you have any background in metaphysical ideas like visualization, New Thought, or the work of Deepak Chropra, this could be a valuable every-day manual and an important reference, full of crucial distinctions, as they say in NLP.
First though, I would study her Eastern philosophy source material, then you'll have a clue what she's talking about. I have looked at similiar types of treatises and their style of writing, so I think I know what Susan James is trying to do here. She's presenting some of these esoteric concepts, while at the same time, trying to keep it simple, short and sweet. The result is, for the most part, a garbled mess.
Having said all this, I salute Susan James for her efforts. Many of us say we're going to write a book, but she went and did it (several times). And she self(?)-published it. I want to support people like her, that's why I bought the book. Most importantly, she's trying to make a difference, in the best way possible, in my opinion. That is, to teach people how to empower themselves. I mean, it's relatively easy for me to sit here on the sidelines and be a critic - she's the one doing something, however overpriced and incoherent this book might be. But if you can come to an understanding, I firmly believe that it's astoundingly powerful stuff.
